Summary

Amends the

Criminal Code Act 1995
to enable Australia to ratify the
Convention on Cluster Munitions
by: creating offences and penalties in relation to cluster munitions and explosive bomblets; providing for defences for certain circumstances; and providing for certain authorisations to be made.

We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of country throughout Australia and acknowledge their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the people, the cultures and the elders past, present and emerging.
